Photo Album: New Information Changed A Project In East Amherst, NY

In the summer of July 2020, a woman contacted TBF of WNY for a free estimate on finishing her basement. She wanted to make it into a rec room with a home gym area and an area for her toddler to safely play in. When asked she told us that there were no water issues in her basement, it was just a regular, unfinished basement space. Our Design Specialist todd met with her and did measurements in her basement. When he was measuring he found that there was water damage on the floor and wall by the sump pump. When Todd spoke with the homeowner about this damage she said that they had been having some trouble with the sump pump and the basement had been getting some water in it by the sump pump over the previous year but because the basement hadn't really flooded she didn't think to mention it when booking the appointment. The homeowner along chose to have us install the sump pump for her and to just finish the floors and the ceiling in the basement until she was sure that the walls wouldn't get water on them again. She also had us install a new SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the basement air dry too. We were happy to work with her on this project and we hope that her basement is nice and dry for her now! We hope that when she is ready to finish the walls that she will give us a call.
