Two Designs For The Same Space in Buffalo, NY
Challenge
In January of 2019, a couple contacted TBF of WNY for help with their basement. They wanted to take half of their basement to make it into a play area for their children, and to add a half bathroom to the space so their children didn't have to stop playing to go upstairs for that. Our Design Specialst met with the couple, and found that though they knew what they wanted to do with the space, they didn't know what they wanted to do with the layout of the basement for it.
Solution
Our Design Specialist worked with the couple and created two designs for their basement, one with the half bath in the finished space and the other with the half bath adjoining the finished space but pushing the bathroom into the unfinished side of the basement. This gave the couple a chance to see how things would look and plan with their options so they could choose what would look and work best for them.
They chose to have the half bathroom installed in the finished side of the basement to keep the spaces together. We're glad that an extra design could help them make this choice and give them the basement playroom that they had been hoping for.
