Waiting Lead To A Beautiful Basement Remodel In Niagara Falls, NY

Many times homeowners contact us wanting to start a project right away, but that often isn't possible. Pre-planning for your project can often make all the difference in getting it done.

In 2017 a homeowner in Niagara Falls, NY contacted us at Total Basement Finishing of WNY about finishing her basement. She wanted to start a conversation about what could be done to modernize her basement that had been finished in the 1990's. She met with one of our Design Specialists to talk about options for floors, what could be done with her current walls in the areas that she wanted to refinish, and to get ideas on what could be done to update her basement bathroom. 

Solution

The homeowner found the project that she wanted to be bigger than she had originally thought. She really wanted to make it all happen but wasn't ready to start right away. She kept in touch with us at Total Basement Finishing of WNY, and met with a Design Specialist again in 2019, to set a start date in Spring 2020 to start her renovation when she was ready.

Then Covid-19 hit, and she decided to wait another year to start her project when she was feeling safer and more ready for this home change.  Her basement was finished in the summer of 2021, and now it, and especially her basement bathroom, look better than she imagined. 

Waiting and planning ahead were key to making this project happen at a time when the homeowner was comfortable with.
