A woman called TBF of WNY, she and her husband were looking to update their basement so they could have it as a regular living space instead of just storage. They already had 2 sump pumps and no water issues in their basement, so they were just looking to remodle the space. When our design technician met with they, he found that to make the space what they wanted that the renovation would include moving the hot water tank. As this is no problem for TBF of WNY, they went forward with the work.
Along with moving the hot water tank, the work that TBF did for the couple included installing our Ever-Last wall systems, putting in a Linen drop ceiling and Mill Creek Basement Flooring in Mahogany, and installing new doors around the basement to help seperate the space.
The couple now has a modern and beautiful living space as well as storage in their basement, and it looks fantastic.
A fantastic couple in Orchard Park, NY approached us about refinishing their basement. Though it had been finished before, they had a lot of water damage and had enough of the trouble that water causes with carpets and wood. Their basement was fantastic with a lot of unique details like a bar and a fire place, that they didn't want to lose. TBF of WNY was happy to help them with this.
So much had to be done to redo this basement and to keep it dry. TBF of WNY did a demolition of the drywall, and reframed the bathroom to create a fresh finished space. We put in new EverLast basement windows, and a Sani-Dry XP Air System to try to stop future water from accumilating in the basement. We also installed our EverLast wall systems to the exterior walls and to create the new bathroom space, and set up the bathroom with a new vanity and toilet. Our Mill Creek Flooring in Mahagony completed the finished look.
We're very proud of our work at this home in Orchard Park, NY; and we hope that the couple has no more water issues and that they can enjoy this space for decades to come!
A homeowner from Hamburg, NY approached us with a simple basement refinishing job in Hamburg, NY. They had been using their basement a little but thought that it had vastly more potential than it was being used for.
Our Design Specialist met with them and helped them design a special space of their own. We finished the walls using our EverLast wall system, and seperated the space into a storage area and a living area. We installed a bi-fold door to finish seperating the space and installed our beautiful Mill Creek flooring in a light tone to keep the basement looking cool and sleek. The EverLast walls and Mill Creek flooring are water resistant and clean and wear very well; making things easy to keep clean and comfortable for the homeowner.
We hope that the homeowner gets years of happy moments in their sleek and modern basement.
TBF of WNY was contacted by a really nice man who wanted to finish his basement. He had a fairly new house but the basement was a blank space that was being used as a children's play area. He had a vision of the basement being a few seperate rooms, with a bathroom that his family would enjoy.
Our Design Specialist met with the man three times, and revised the design plan as the man's vision changed over time. TBF ended up finishing a large multipurpose room for the family, without a bathroom, and a smaller storage agea. We used our EverLast wall systems to break up the space and finish the walls, installed a linen drop ceiling, added more electrical outlets along with our Mill Creek Flooring, as well as our SaniDry XP Air System to keep the basement dry and comfortable.
A couple in East Amherst, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY about their basement. It was a finished basement, but it looked tired. They were using it as a family room and office area, and it needed a refinish to bring it into the future with their family.
Our Design Specialist Andrew met with the couple and discussed options with them. They decided to keep their current walls, and to put in new flooring and a new ceiling. This was a great choice as our Linen dropped ceiling with mineral fiber composition will hold up a lot better for them than the particle ceiling that they had. And the got a SaniDry XP Air system. We know that this will make a big difference not only in their basement but also in the air quality of their whole house!
We hope that the couple loves the look of their refinished basement as much as we at TBF of WNY do.
In December 2019 we were contacted by a father and son in Buffalo, NY asking for help with renovations to their basement. They wanted to turn their basement into a multi room living space. Our Design Specialist Paul met with them, and assessed the work that they wanted to do. He found that to keep the prospective projects within New York State building code, that there would need to be multiple egress windows installed in the space. We created a multi phase installation plan with the family, and worked with the city of Buffalo to obtain the necessary permits to install the egress windows first. After the ground thawed from the winter cold, and we waited out the Covid-19 pause on work, we got started on installing 3 egress windows for the family. The excavation and installation both went well and we hope that the family will have years of safety from the work we've done.
A woman contacted us about turning her large basement into an apartment for her son who was moving back to Tonawanda, NY. She was interested in creating several rooms in the basement and laying out the space to include a small kitchen and a half bathroom. Our Design Specialist got her son involved in the redesign process, and found that he wanted to add a full bathroom instead of a half bath, and a secure exterior exit to the basement so that he could come and go without disturbing his mother.
Total Basement Finishing of WNY was happy to step in and work with this family on their basement redesign needs. We installed out EverLast wall systems to refinish the exterior walls, and create rooms out of the open basement space. We installed a full bathroom, and put in the cabinets to create a kitchenette area. We also put in a new floor using out Mill Creek Flooring, and painted the ceiling to create a fully finished look. We also put in the egress door as requested, so there was a secure exit that could be used reguarly.
We're very pleased with how this full basement refinishing came out, and how beautiful the space is. We hope that this family can enjoy this space for many years to come.
A couple in Getzville, NY called us at Total Basement Finishing of WNY to help them refinish their basement and make it a clean and modern living area for their busy family to enjoy.
The couple originally thought about putting in a bathroom, but decided to hold off on putting it in at the time of the redesign. They chose to have us remove the carpet that was currently in the basement and put in a beautiful and easy to clean Mill Creek Floor. They had TBF of WNY paint the ceiling and install our EverLast wall system on the exterior walls and to create new walls to divide their space into a new room.
Ww are so glad that the family has this clean new space to enjoy, and we hope that they can use it for many years as their children grow.
A fantastic man in Getzville, NY called us up at Total Basement Finishing of WNY. His previously finished basement had flooded from an ice back up the previous winter and he wanted to bring it back to it's former use in his home.
As all of the previous drywall had been removed, we could easily install our EverLast wall system to refinish the walls, as well as a new Mill Creek Floor to keep the basement easy to clean. The two systems combined to create a fabulously finished look and brought the basement back to beautiful.
The homeowner gave us a great review for the work that we did, and we are thrilled that he loves his refinished basement.
A woman in Lancaster, NY called TBF of WNY asking for help refinishing her basement laundry area. There were no water issues or any problems in it, it was just old and in need of refreshing.
Our Design Specialist Paul met with her and established how she wanted to finish the laundry space. After just a bit of demolition work, our installation crew was able to put in our water resistant EverLast wall system and Mill Creek flooring - a perfect pair for a laundry area where things can get damp. They also installed new lighting and painted the ceiling to create a clean and finished look.
We are very happy with our work, and the woman was happy too! She even gave us a 5 star review.
A woman in Angola, NY had been followin Total Basement Finishing of WNY's work over a few years at the Buffalo Home Show. She was really impressed with our products and what we can do, so she decided to jump into a remodel using our services.
Her basement was a beautiful, blank slate. The walls were cement and perfect for the refinishing process. We installed our EverLast Wall System around the exterior basement walls, and also used it to create a small storage closet for her. We painted the ceiling, installed new lighting, and smoke alarms for safety.
The woman was very pleased with our work, and gave us a 5-star review! We hope to work with her again when she is ready to explore options for flooring in her basement.
A couple in Alden, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY at the Buffalo Home Show for help waterproofing their basement. They wanted to refinish their basement but had water issues in it too. Total Basement Finishing helped them set up the design for the basement, and could do the waterproofing too.
TBF of WNY created a small trench on the perimeter of the basement to create a barrier in the drain tile and tied the perimeter tile to the sump pump to give the water it collected a place to go to be released. We then poured concrete to the same level of the existing floor and smoothed it so there will be no difference in the space over time.
We hope that the couple has a dry and comfortable basement for years to come!
A woman came to us at TBF wanting help refinishing her basement to help recreate her husband's space down there. It was well loved but was down to bare bones and insulation; it was ready for a total basement refinishing!
Our design consultant met with the woman and her husband and found that there was a fun bar in one area that they didn't want much done with. New floors, painting the ceiling and adding lights brought that area up to looking like a fancy bar downtown. And adding new insulation and our EverLast wall systems along with new floors and painting the ceiling opened up the basement to a whole new level of comfort and easy style.
A couple in Clarence, NY contacted TBF of WNY about refinishing their basement walls. They have a fairly large basement with a small area jutting out from the main section of it; and they wanted the walls and ceilings refinished. They had a very simple job for us as they did not have any special desires for seperated rooms and they did not have any water issues.
After the New York State Covid-19 pause we got to work. Insulation and our EverLast wall system quickly went up in the basement, and the ceiling was painted to give the room a modern and finished look. They planned to set up an area to exercise in, and they loved how our walls look in their bathroom now.
A woman reached out to TBF of WNY, she and her husband wanted to make their basement into a home office as Covid 19 was leading them to work from home. They liked their basement, there were no water issues in it and it was an open and ideal space to make an office in. Our Design Specialist, Andrew, met with the couple and helped them design a basement office that would suit what they needed, and help the rest of their basement stay clean and easy to maintain.
The couple was initially concerned about the cost of our products but they saw the value in our work and materials and went ahead with the project. We installed our EverLast Wall Systems to create new walls for the home office. Painted part of the ceiling and installed a drop ceiling over the office area. We installed new flooring and made sure that the baseboard heating systems worked so the new office area will be cozy in the winter.
With our EverLast wall systems, new flooring, and both a painted and a drop ceiling put in, they have a wonderful new workspace. We hope that they both enjoy it and can be very productive there.
A young couple who had just moved to Lancaster, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY about refinishing their basement. The husband was originally from Connecticut, and had heard about our fantastic basement products from another refinishing dealer in the network that we are in that is based out of Connecticut. They were very inerested in our EverLast Wall Systems and wanted to have them installed this fall as they were expecting a new baby at the end of August.
We installed our EverLast Wall Systems for them around the basement and created a seperate storage area. They already had an egress window in the basement because of when the house was built; which is fantastic. Egress windows are a necessary safety feature in any basement. Our Thermal Dry Elite Tile Flooring finished the space and will keep things bright and easy to clean as their child grows up.
In 2017 we were contacted by a couple who wanted to refinish their finished basement so it would suit their current life better. Our Design Specialist met with the couple and found that the couple only wanted to finish part of their basement and leave part as a clean storage and laundry area. He also noticed that the finished basement would need to be demolished before we could proceed with the work. The couple didn't want to attempt the demolition on their own, so they hired TBF of WNY to do the demolition work along with the refinishing.
Our installation team made quick work of the demolition part of the project, and proceeded to install our EverLast wall system when they were done with it. Our Ever Last walls are mold and mildew resistant which makes them a better choice than drywall for basements as basements naturally attract moisture. A Prestige Drop Ceiling with mineral composition and a Termal Dry tile floor finished the space and created an easy to clean and comfortable space that will last for decades.
A couple in Buffalo, NY approached TBF of WNY about finishing their unfinished basement. Their home had been built in 1925 and though it had some work done as time went on they wanted to create a living space that they were comfortable in and that would suit their growing family. They wanted to totally finish the basement, add a bathroom to the space, and keep a seperate area for the laundry room so they could have an extra room to use without distractions.
Our EverLast wall systems really made a difference in this basement. They took this basmenet from grungy old concrete to clean, insulated, finished walls. And TBF can make quick work of installing a bathroom. We worked with a plumber to make sure that everything was installed properly, and added a toilet and a pedestal sink to make a half bath. A painted ceiling and Thermal Dry tile floor along with post wraps finished the space beautifully.
In December 2018, a woman contacted TBF of WNY because she wanted to have two egress windows installed in her basement. She told us that she knew that it wasn't the best time of year to have windows installed, so she could wait until spring to have it done. Her patience was rewarded! After getting architect's drawings that the city of Buffalo requires for work like this, we got started with the work in March 2019. It only took about a week for both egress windows to be installed. The woman loved our work and was very grateful that her basement was a safe space to put bedrooms into for her daughters.
In 2017 a couple contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help refinishing their laundry room. Theirs was old, worn down looking, and hard to do the laundry in. Our Design Specialist met with the couple and talked with them about all of their basement desires. He found out that they couple really wanted to refinish more than just the laundry room but wasn't sure how to do it because their basement was long and narrow. Our Design Specialist worked with the couple on the design of their basement, creating a main room that they could do most anything with and a seperate laundry room. They loved the design and eagerly anticipated the work getting started.
Our installation crew worked hard to create the basement of the couple's dreams. Our EverLast wall systems quickly went up and gave the whole basement a fresh new look. Our speciality flooring and a linen drop ceiling created a clean and modern look that the couple loved. New doors seperated the laundry area from the rest of the basement, and helped make both rooms functional and comfortable to use.
In 2018 a man contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY because he wanted to create an office and a family room in his basement. He met with our Design Specialist and when they were working on the design together the homeowner decided that he didn't want to finish the whole basement. He wanted to create the spaces that he needed and leave the rest for storage and laundry. Our Design Specialist worked with him to create a design that he was comfortable with and that would meet his needs for years to come.
Our installation crews used our EverLast wall systems to seperate the finished area from the utility part of the basement. They installed new flooring, new doors to seperate the space, and painted the ceiling to create a finished look. A SaniDry XP Air System was also installed, which improved the air quality thoughout the basement and the whole house.
In 2017 a homeowner contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help refinishing her basmenet. She had recently had a flood in her basmenet and it had to be stripped down to the studs. She wanted to have her basement living room back but also have walls that would last into the future.
Installation crews installed our EverLast wall systems, which automatically gave the basement a beautiful look. New flooring tiles and a drop ceiling helped create a finished look to go with it. New doors with brushed nickle handles fully finished the space. The homeowner was very happy with her remodel and told us at TBF that it was the good thing that happened after the issues in her basement.
In 2019 a couple in Buffalo, NY contacted Total Basment Finishing of WNY about installing an egress window for them. They had done some home renovations with a different contractor and found out that since they were adding a bedroom to their basement that they would need to have an egress window installed too. Our Design Specialist met with the couple, and measured the basement. They found that the other contractor had used drywall to finish the basement. We do not recommend using drywall in a basement as it attracts mold and mildew. Our Design Specialist worked with the couple to find the placement for the egress window; and the couple happily agreed that they would finish around where the egress window was installed as we do not work with drywall.
The installation went smoothly in August 2019, and the couple was very happy with the Egress Window.
A couple just moved into their new home in Buffalo, NY in the summer of 2019 when they contacted TBF of WNY for help creating a room in their basement that they could use as a home office. Our design specialist met with them, and was happy to help them redesign an area of their basement to better meet their needs.
Our EverLast wall panels divided the space and created a cozy office. The couple decided to go with our paintable wall panels so they could paint after we left to make the space their own. A painted ceiling, new lighting, and a tile floor helped finish the space. Our installation crew hung a barn door that the couple provided to finish the look of the space to their liking.
A couple in Buffalo, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help fully finishing their basement. They had finished the walls a few years prior but they still weren't loving their basement that they used as a family space. Our Design Specialist Paul met with the couple and found that though they had finished the walls they had left the floors and ceilings bare. Identifying this made it easy to work up a design that would make the family space much more comfortable.
Our Installation Crew both painted most of the ceiling, and installed a linen drop ceiling in an area of the basement that was a little higher than the rest. A half bath with a toilet and pedestal sink was added to the basement, which always adds not only ease and comfort but also value to the home. Some new lighting and a panel floor finished the space and helped create a bright, easy to clean family area for the couple and their children.
A couple in Buffalo, NY contacted TBF of WNY in June 2019 about finishing their basement. They wanted to make a living room and a full bath in their basement. Our Design Specialist met with the couple, measured the basement then worked with them on the design. As they talked things through, the found that where they wanted to install a bathroom they couldn't do so without a lot of reconfiguration of the pipes. That wasn't what they were thinking about for their basement. The homeowners decided that they would hold on putting in a bathroom, and instead make a family room and a seperate office area that they could use, or possibly turn into a bathroom eventually if things changed. They chose to keep their laundry area seperate too.
Our EverLast wall systems created the three rooms that the homeowners decided on, and a painted ceiling was a great choice for this space as the ceilings were fairly low. New flooring and additional lights finished the space beautifully and the couple were thrilled with the choices that they made.
In the fall of 2019 a homeowner contacted TBF of WNY and asked for our help with a special project. He wanted to surprise his wife with a renovated laundry room! He set up an appointment with our Design Specialist and surprised his wife with his idea at the appointment. She LOVED it. Our Design Specialist Paul helped them create a plan for a laundry room that would work for them, and with the space that they had in the basement.
We completed the work on their laundry room in early March 2020, using our EverLast walls, ThermalDry tile floors, and painting the ceiling to create a clean, modern, and water resistant laundry room. What a difference the space made! We are very proud of our work with this and that we could leave the couple with a room that really worked for them.
A woman in Buffalo, NY contacted us early in the spring of 2018 wanting to refinish her basement. She had a lot of ideas about how she could redo the space, and as her daughter's bedroom was in the basement how she could make it a nicer space for her daughter. Our Design Specialist met with the woman, and found out that her plans were very ambitious. She wanted to create a better bedroom for her daughter, a living room, a laundry room, a games area, and a storage area. There wasn't space for everything that she wanted in her basement.
Our Design Specialist helped the woman scale back her plans. A finished bedroom for her daughter, a laundry room, and living room area would fill the basement. Our EverLast wall systems would create seperate rooms in the basement for all of these spaces, and since the basement had a high ceiling a linen drop ceiling and new floor tiles would create a finished look. Installing a new SaniDry XP Air System would increase the air quality in the basement for her daughter, as well as the air quality throughout the whole house. And since there was a bedroom in the basement we would need to install an egress window to keep everything up to New York State Building Code. (Note: The New York State Building Code for egress windows changed in May 2020, now any habitable space in a basement needs to have an egress window put in at the time of renovation.)
The woman didn't love not having everything that she wanted in the basement, but she understood that finishing a space doesn't make it bigger than it already is. She decided to hold on the work until she loved the plans, and just have an egress window installed in her daughter's bedroom area for safety and comfort. We will be happy to help her refinish the rest of the basement when she is ready to.
In the spring of 2019 a homeowner contacted us about refinishing their semi-finished basement in Buffalo. They were thinking about making a bedroom and possibly a living space in the basement but they weren't really sure about how they wanted things to look. They just really wanted to change the basement so that it wasn't just one large space anymore.
Our Design Specialist met with the homeowners and discussed options with them. To have a bedroom in the basement they would need to have an egress window installed, but they didn't want to install an egress window. (Note: The New York State building code regarding egress windows has changed since we finished this project, starting in May 2020 all habitable living spaces in basements need to have egress windows installed at the time of renovations.) Our Design Specialist worked with the homeowners to create a basement office, storage closet, and a basement living room that would break up the basement and let them use the space in a way that would free up a bedroom on the main floor so their space met with their current needs.
The homeowners chose to wait a few months before starting the renovation, which meant that we were working on their basement in January 2020. This suited them just fine as our Installation Crew worked to put up our EverLast wall systems, and install a new floor in just a few weeks. The homeowers now have a comfortable living space, storage, easy access to their sump pump and utility boxes.
In the winter of 2019 a man approached Total Basment Finishing of WNY for help refinishing his basement. It was a large space and he wanted to make an area that his family could use but leave a small area for the laundry unfinished. We were very happy to work with him on this project.
In the summer of 2019, our Installation Crew put up our EverLast wall panel systems to finish the outside walls of the basement, and to create small storage areas and the smaller laundry room. The large space left after these were carved out of the basement then a linen drop ceiling and new Thermal Dry tile flooring installed to create a comfortable and easy to clean space.
A couple contacted Total Basement Finishing in November of 2018. They had an older home on the Buffalo/Kenmore boarder and wanted to know what they could do to make their basement better. Our Design Specialist met with them, measured the basement, and went over options that they coudl do. The couple chose to refinish their walls using the EverLast wall systems, and to finish their laundry area as well as the rest of the basement. They left a small utility area unfinished by their sump pump. A linen drop ceiling and Thermal Dry flooring really finished off the space, and let us install additional lighting for them.
In 2017 a young family contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY to see if we could finish half of their basement for them. Their family was growing and they wanted to make a family room for their children to play in.
We were happy to help them out and refinish as much of the space as they wanted for their new family room. Our EverLast wall systems divided the open basement into two halves, which created the family room that they were hoping for. A painted ceiling and our Thermal Dry tile flooring finished the space and made it comfortable for the kids to play in.
In 2017, a pair of new homeowners contacted Total Basement Finishing for help with their basement, but they decided to hold on any work for a while until they settled in. We kept in touch, and when they were ready to look at designs in 2019 we were there to speak with them. When our Design Specialist met with the couple he found that they didn't want to do a full refinishing right now, they just wanted to start with an egress window to keep their basement space safe. We were happy to help them with this, get the necessary permits, and architectural drawings needed for this work in this area, and to do the installation for them.
In the spring of 2019 a family contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help refinishing their basement. There was a foundation issue that caused a flood which they had taken care of, but they missed their finished and functional space. After meeting with the family, our Design Specialist found that they wanted to put a bedroom in the basement. Because of the New York State building code, to do so they would have had to have an egress window installed too.
After getting a permit and an architect's drawing, which are needed for work like this in Buffalo, NY, we could start the refinishing that December.
After a little demolition work, our Installation Crew installed the egress window, then put up our EverLast wall system around the entire basement. Our EverLast wall system also broke up the space into several rooms, including the bedroom that they needed. Our MillCreek flooring went through half of the basement. New lights added new life to the basement space, and finished the refinishing to make the basement look very cozy.
In the winter of 2018 a woman contacted us about finishing her basement for her. The walls were plain cement and though she didn't have any big plans for what she wanted to do with the space, she did want a clean finished look for it. This made for an easy appointment with our Design Consultant, as our refinishing processes were exactly what she wanted.
New EverLast walls around the exterior of the basement made a clean and modern look. A painted ceiling and new floors helped make the basement look finished. And a SaniDry XP Air System improved the air quality around the basement and the whole house.
The finished basement looked clean and exactly the wat that the homeowner wanted it to. We hope that she gets years of enjoyment out of her finished space.
In January of 2019 a couple from Buffalo, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing for help making a kids area in their basement. They wanted to convert half of their basement into a play area, and add a bathroom to the space so their kids could be happy, comfortable, and have their own area of the house.
Our Design Specialist met with the couple, and made up two designs for the basement, one with a half bathroom in the the finished half of the basmenet, and the other with a half bath adjoining the finished side of the basement, but with the bath jutting into the unfinished side. The couple decided to have the half bath installed in the finished side of the basement, and after obtaining the necessary drawings and permits the installation went smoothly. The couple asked to add pole wraps to the support posts in their basement to complete the finished look, and we were happy to add those onto the finishing project. We're glad that their family has space to play and grow in, and we hope that their basement gives them many years of enjoyment to come!
In March 2018, a homeowner contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY with a special project. He wanted to create a finished room in part of his basement, so he could have a home office area.
Our EverLast wall systems were a fantastic choice to make this room happen. They both line exterior walls, and can be used to create new wall systems. A painted ceiling an 7 new recessed lights made the room much brighter, and our ThermalDry tile flooring kept the floors clean, warmer, and comfortable.
A homeowner in Buffalo, NY contacted TBF of WNY in June 2020 because he wanted to refinish his man-cave area in his basement. After meeting with our Design Specialist, the homeowner decided that he liked his walls as they were, but that he really wanted a new floor installed in his basement to make things more comfortable for him.
Our Mill Creek flooring is a fairly quick installation for our crews, and was installed in less than two weeks. The homeowner loved it in the rich mahagony color that he chose. We hope that he is very happy and comfortable with his floors, and when he is ready to refinish his walls that he will call Total Basement Finishing of WNY.
In 2017 TBF of WNY was contacted by an older couple for help with their basement. Their son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren were going to be moving in with them for a few months while they (the family, not the couple) looked for a new home. The couple wanted their basement to be as nice as possible for their family to spend time in and store things safely in.
After meeting with our design specialist the couple decided to hold on finishing the whole basement and just have TBF of WNY install a new floor in the basement for them. Our Mill Creek Flooring made their floors glow in the light and provided an easy to clean, and durable floor that would last long after their family moved in and out.
A homeowner contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help with his basement ceiling. He was thinking about painting it, but he wasn't sure how it would look and he wanted to speak with someone about options that would be available for him. Our Design Specialist Piercen met with him, and after measuring the basement and talking over the options the homeowner deicided that he wanted to do a drop ceiling in the basement instead of a painted ceiling. He loved that the drop ceiling would cover the pipes and support beams. Our Prestige linen dropped ceiling looks fantastic in his basement and the homeowner has been very happy with our work.
These homeowners in Clarence, NY came to Total Basement Finishing of WNY with a special project. They had previously finished their basement, but there had been a flood in the basement which after cleaning up they found that they wanted new flooring and baseboards; but also that they wanted to take the oppertunity to expand their basement bathroom to make it more spacious and to add a shower area in it. They really loved their basement and wanted to have Total Basement Finishing of WNY help them make it even better.
The basement bathroom was stripped down to the studs, epanded backwards into a storage area, then had new plumbing and electrical run so the space could safely accomidate the new shower. The results are stunning! The EverLast Wall System and ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring make this basement bathroom look sleek and elegant. All that it needs is a shower curtian and it is ready to be used!
The basement floor had been stripped down to the cement, and the original baseboards had been removed as they were water damaged from the flooding that had happened in the basement. Our install team put in our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring, and new baseboards and left the basement looking better than ever!
A pair of homeowners in Depew, NY approached TBF of WNY with a unique desire to finish their basement in stages. They wanted to finish half of the basement, including the bathroom, then wait a year or two and finish the other half of their basement to create a home office and a new family space. We worked up a design for both halves of the basement that the homeowners loved and wanted to work forward with.
After the homeowners had a foundation crack repaired, TBF of WNY was able to start the refinishing work that the homeowners were anticipating. We installed a new shower in their basement bathroom. Our EverLast Wall Systems created a new, seperated space for the homeowers to enjoy. The painted ceiling and recessed lights added the illusion of the basement being taller. And our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring is a durable and easy to clean investment that will serve the homeowners and their family for a long time.
We are eagerly anticpating being able to complete the second half of their basement for these homeowners, and we hope that they love the work that we have done in the mean time.
A couple in Buffalo, NY needed more space for their family in Buffalo, NY. The couple has foster children and they needed a space to store items so they had more space on their main floors. When meeting with our Design Specialist they wanted to focus on keeping the basement an open space, and they really wanted help refinishing their basement stairs which had become rather rickety with time. We do not normally redo basement stairs, but with a larger finishing project like this we can work with homeowners on them.
Our install team had its work cut out for them as the staircase needed to be fully replaced. A bit of patience, a lot of skill, and some teamwork made that happen for the homeowners. Then our EverLast Wall Panels and ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring were installed. This space is clean and safe for the family's needs. We hope that it will give them the space that they need for a long time to come.
Total Basement Finishing of WNY was contacted by a pair of homeowners in Clarence Center, NY for help refinishing their basement. They wanted to create several separate rooms in their basement, with one central one to become a playroom for their children. They really wanted to create an area for their kids that was separate from the laundry room and storage area. Their basement had a unique shape with several small areas already jutting out from the main section, which would create small rooms with little extra framing work.
Our installation team used our EverLast Wall Systems to create the new main room and the separate side rooms. New wiring and eleven recessed lights created a bright basement for the family to use and enjoy. And our thermal flooring panels throughout the whole basement created an easy to clean and beautiful floor for the family to use. We hope that the family is enjoying their whole basement and that their children are really using and loving their new playroom.
In the fall of 2020 Total Basement Finishing of WNY worked with a customer on their basement, where the customer only wanted to finish the lower half of their walls and the floors. The customer had recently purchased the home, and there was some water damage to the floors, ceilings, and part of the walls. They wanted to finish the lower half of the basement and make the ceiling look nice again, but to leave the upper half of the walls as they were. Our Design Specialist Piercen Hicks met with the homeowner, and rose to their challenge of designing a basement that would look nice, and solve the mold issue that had been left over from the water damge. Piercen redesigned the space in the basement to meet the homeowner's specifications using our EverLast wall panels, but cutting them down to cover only the lower part of the walls where there had been water damage. He made this look natural by adding wainscoting to the top of the panel (to look like a chair rail), and a baseboard at the bottom to make the space look clean and finished. New ElitePlank flooring helped bring the floor back, since it previously had to be stripped to a sub-floor, and new doors finished the space.
After installing a new sump pump so we could help the homeowner feel better about not having water issues again, we had three teams work on her basement until things looked much better. We hope that the homeowner is now happy with their basement, and that and the lower half of the walls look as wonderful as the design intended.
A fantastic couple stopped at the Total Basement Finishing of WNY booth at the Buffalo Home Show for a few years before deciding to have TBF of WNY finish their basement for them. They really liked how TBF of WNY presented the work that we do at the home shows and were eager to finish half of their basement and add a bathroom for them there. It is a fantastic basement with access to their yard, and we started the work for them at the beginning of 2020.
Then Covid-19 struck, and we had to shut down. The couple understood that their basement would be delayed, and was alright waiting until we could get back to work with them again. When things could get started again, we moved forward on their basement to a point where the bathroom could be installed. And due to Covid-19, there was a delay getting a plumber into their home to install a custom shower for them. The couple was wonderfully patient and kept in touch with us at TBF of WNY as they waited a few months to have the work done.
They love the finished results in their basement. The EverLast Wall Panels have created a clean and bright space, with the addition of one of our Linen Drop Ceilings and plenty of recessed lighting. This also created a fantastic backdrop for their new bathroom. The couple let us know that they were thrilled with the work that working with us was a very pleasant experience. They have thanked us a lot and love their finished space.
A couple had just moved their family into a new home in Orchard Park, NY when they contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY. They loved their upper floors but wanted their basement to be a better space for them. They had hopes of making their new basement into a home entertainment space with a home gym area. And after meeting with our Design Specialist Todd they found that we could help them make their hopes for their new home come into reality.
Our EverLast Wall Systems created clean and modern-looking walls for the homeowners in their new basement. Strategic design let there be an L-shaped space that could be used both for an entertainment area and a home gym, and the new EverLast Walls blocked off a storage area in the basement so it wouldn't have to constantly be seen. Our grey Thermal Dry Flooring brought the basement a fully finished look and will add a light layer of insulation for the homeowners that are invaluable in cold Western New York winters. A painted ceiling with recessed lights finished the look and makes the basement look like such a modern space.
A couple from Hamburg, NY contacted us at Total Basement Finishing for help with their basement. They had a budget in mind and wanted a fantastic space that they could use as a family space for their children to enjoy with them. Our Design Specialist Julie met with the couple, looked over the basement, and saw the potential that they saw for a fun family space.
After getting a building permit from Hamburg, doing a "demo" and removing some old wood paneling from the walls, and installing an egress window (which is a level of safety that no home should be without) one of our install crews got to work! They used our EverLast Wall Panels to line the exterior walls and block out storage space. Warm wood-tone Thermal Dry Elite Plank Flooring was installed and created a wood look in the basement that is easy to clean, kid-friendly, and mold and mildew resistant. A painted ceiling, new lighting, and a post wrap created a comfortable and family-friendly look around the basement.
We hope that this family uses and loves their basement for years to come since we loved creating a space that could grow with their family for them.
In the summer of 2020 a homeowner in Williamsville, NY contacted us at TBF of WNY about helping them create a playroom for their grandchildren in their basement. They didn't want to finish the full basement, just to create a special space for the grandkids in their basement so they could all play together. Our Design Specialist Todd met with the homeowner and their spouse and went through different options for them; helping them eventually settle on finishing half the basement and adding a storage closet and egress window with it. There will be plenty of space for their grandchildren to play there.
The egress window was installed in December, and our installation crew worked on the project over the winter. Our EverLast Walls and Thermal Dry Elite Plank Flooring created a kid-friendly room for the grandchildren to play in. We hope that this family can create many memories in their new basement space.
In the summer of July 2020, a woman contacted TBF of WNY for a free estimate on finishing her basement. She wanted to make it into a rec room with a home gym area and an area for her toddler to safely play in. When asked she told us that there were no water issues in her basement, it was just a regular, unfinished basement space.
Our Design Specialist Todd met with her and did measurements in her basement. When he was measuring he found that there was water damage on the floor and wall by the sump pump. This would have created problems if the basement was finished before this damage was taken care of. When Todd spoke with the homeowner about this damage she said that they had been having some trouble with the sump pump and the basement had been getting some water in it by the sump pump over the previous year but because the basement hadn't really flooded she didn't think to mention it when booking the appointment.
This is a perfect example of why we do in-person appointments instead of giving a quote over the phone or doing a virtual appointment. There are just so many things that can be overlooked if our Design Specialists aren't there to see them in person.
Todd recommended that we install a new sump pump for the homeowner along with the basement finishing and she chose to have us install the sump pump for her and to just finish the floors and the ceiling in the basement until she was sure that the walls wouldn't get water on them again. She also had us install a new SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the basement air dry too. We were happy to work with her on this project and we hope that her basement is nice and dry for her now! We hope that when she is ready to finish the walls that she will give us a call.
During the winter of 2021, a couple contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help finishing their basement. They already had finished walls but they wanted an estimate for floors and having the ceiling painted. Our Design Specialist Todd met with them and went over our flooring options as well as both options for a painted and drop ceiling. The couple chose to just have the ceiling painted for now and have their floors done later.
Because this was such a small job we could fit it in this spring. The ceiling turned out fantastic and we hope that when they are ready to have their floors done that the couple will call on us at TBF of WNY.
Early in 2021, a couple contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help with their basement. They wanted to make it into a man cave and add a new bathroom to their basement. They had already been doing some demolition on a previously finished part of it to make space for it. Our Design Specialist Pierce met with them and helped them come up with a cohesive plan for their basement. The couple decided to hold off on installing a new bathroom for now and just focus on making the man cave that the husband had been hoping for.
Our EverLast Wall Panels and a warm-colored Thermal Dry Elite Plank Flooring perfectly compliment the homeowner's sports signs. We helped him hang his television with the installation and now everything looks fantastic in the new man cave. The bathroom walls are finished and ready for new bathroom fixtures to be installed when the couple is ready for them.
In October 2020, a woman who had just moved into her new home in West Seneca, NY contacted us at Total Basement Finishing of WNY. She wanted to redo her basement. The previous owners of her new home had children and they let the kids draw all over the basement walls, making the basement look like a mess and not the comfortable space that she was thinking of for it. She met with our Design Specialist Kenton and he went over our finishing options with her. She decided on finishing 3/4 of the basement with our EverLast Wall Panels, painting the ceiling, adding an Egress Window for safety, and adding some new outlets and recessed lights to keep her new basement open for any uses that she wanted. She also wanted to make sure that things would be nice around the laundry area so she could relax while doing this chore. She chose to hold on doing the floor with the rest of the project as she wasn't sure what type of flooring she wanted in her new space.
Our Installation Team made quick work of the installation, getting the full installation done in just 3 weeks! The homeowner was thrilled with our work and we hope that she loves her basement for years to come.
In the spring of 2020 Total Basement Finishing of WNY got a call from a couple in Orchard Park, NY who had seen a friend's basement that we had previously finished. They told us that they wanted their basement to look as good and be as functional in their lives as their friends were.
They met with our Design Specialist Todd and told him that they wanted to finish their basement so they could have a home gym and an area to relax in. He worked up a design that would meet their needs exactly the way that they wanted.
Our EverLast Wall Panels created the spaces that they had been hoping for. And a painted ceiling and Thermal Dry floor finished the space beautifully for them.
A couple in Snyder, NY wanted to update their basement. It had been finished in the 1970s, and again in the 1990s, and it just wasn't what they wanted it to be now. They wanted to keep two of the finished wood-paneled walls, but to remove two of the current walls to open up the basement space.
They met with our Design Specialist Todd and went through their ideas with him. He let them know that we could do most of the work that they wanted, and after working through permits for the project we got started on it. Our Installation Crew demolished the two walls that the couple wanted to get rid of, installed new EverLast Wall Panels, new doors, an egress window, and a new Thermal Dry Elite Tile Floor. The homeowners were very happy with the work that Total Basement Finishing of WNY did for them.
In the summer of 2020 new homeowners in Amherst, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing for help with their basement. It was in good condition but it wasn't the way that they had been picturing it to use as a family room in their new home. They met with our Design Specialist Kenton and went over their ideas with him. Together they worked up a design for their basement that made a large family room, a laundry area, and a utility room.
The homeowners wanted to rework the design a few times as they wanted to move and upgrade their hot water unit for the house and make sure that the heating in the basement would work for their new family room. It took a few months of adjusting architect drawings and getting the proper permits, but then our Installation Crew got to work on framing out the new basement rooms. They installed our EverLast Wall Panels, painted the ceiling, worked with our plumber and electrician on various small projects in the basement, and installed our grey Thermal Dry Elite Plank Flooring. Now the basement is beautiful and ready to be used for years to come.
Donna, a avid seamstress with a passion for fabric and thread, found herself yearning for a sanctuary where creativity could flourish. Her cluttered basement in East Amherst, NY, with its dim lighting and uninspiring walls, hardly fit the bill. It was time for a transformation.
One day, as if guided by fate, Donna stumbled upon Total Basement Finishing of Western NY. Their promise of turning neglected spaces into functional havens resonated with her. She picked up the phone, her heart fluttering with anticipation.
The team arrived, armed with blueprints and enthusiasm. Donna shared her vision: a sewing paradise bathed in natural light, where her needles could weave magic. They listened intently, nodding as she described her dream—a finished basement that would inspire her every stitch.
And so, the metamorphosis began. Walls shed their dullness, embracing fresh wall panels. The floor, once cold and unwelcoming, now cradled Donna’s footsteps. She could almost hear her sewing machine humming in approval. The drop ceiling descended like a gentle cloud, concealing pipes and wires. Its clean lines mirrored Donna’s meticulous stitches. She imagined her ideas taking flight, just like the ceiling tiles above.
The old doors vanished, replaced by sleek, modern ones. Donna’s heart skipped a beat when she turned the polished knobs. Each door whispered, “Welcome, creator.” Safety mattered. Total Basement Finishing installed an egress window, its glass inviting sunlight and fresh air. Donna envisioned herself gazing out, seeking inspiration from the world beyond.
Weeks passed, and Donna’s basement blossomed. She stitched quilts, crafted garments, and lost herself in the rhythm of her sewing machine. The once-neglected space now held her dreams, woven into every seam.
When the team revealed the final result, Donna’s eyes welled up. Her sewing nook was more than she’d hoped for—it was her sanctuary. She thanked each contractor, grateful for their craftsmanship and dedication.
As the sun streamed through the egress window, casting patterns on the floor, Donna knew she’d found her creative haven.
And so, in East Amherst, NY, Donna’s basement ceased to be just a room. It became her canvas, her refuge, and her legacy—a testament to the magic that happens when dreams meet skilled hands.
And Donna? She stitched happiness into every seam, forever grateful to Total Basement Finishing for turning her vision into reality.
