Making A Basement Safer In Lewiston, NY

Challenge

A homeowner in Lewiston, NY wanted to add a bedroom to his basement along with other renovations to it. They knew that they needed an egress window, but didn't like the price that other companies and contractors had given them to install one. Adding a bedroom, living area, and bathroom into his basement was his biggest goal though so he had to find a way to work the egress window in.

Solution

Though egress windows seem like one more thing to add on to a project, egress windows make homes a lot safer.  They create an easy means of escape for anyone in a basment in case of an emergency and are as important to a home's safety as smoke alarms are. 

We worked with this homeowner to create a plan that he liked with the egress window, and worked to install it quickly and cleanly for him. Egress windows also provide a lot of natural light to a basement so they are a very good investment in safety and comfort for the future.
