Unexpected Obstacles With Finishing Half of A Basement In Depew, NY

Challenge

A pair of homeowners in Depew, NY approached TBF of WNY with a unique desire to finish their basement in stages. They wanted to finish half of the basement, including the bathroom, then wait a year or two and finish the other half of their basement to create a home office and a new family space.  We worked up a design for both halves of the basement that the homeowners loved and wanted to work forward with.

While at the appointment for a free estimate, our Design Specialist found that the foundation of the home had some issues that were presenting as a large crack. We are unable to do extensive foundation repair work, so our Design Specialist recommended that the couple have a different company come in to do the repair before we started the finishing process.

Solution

The homeowners were happy to work with a foundation specialist company to have their foundation repaired then have our TBF of WNY Installation Teams do the finishing work on their basement.  Having problems taken care of before we start work always makes the basement finishing process quicker and easier in a home.
