Adding Extra Space For A Family In Rochester, NY
Challenge
In the summer of 2020, a couple in Rochester, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY because they wanted help making a new family room in their home. After half a year of homeschooling, they wanted a space for their children to be able to go and play away from their kitchen and living room. They met with one of our Design Specialists and planned a comfortable space that their kids would really be able to enjoy.
But like so many things in 2020, there were delays with the project. Permits and supplies were held up.
Solution
We stayed in touch with the couple about the delays. They really wanted to have the new room done for their children in fall, and when that didn't work then for Christmas.
We got the permits cleared in November 2020, and started the egress window installation in mid-December when we could get the window well in. Their new basement room wasn't finished for Christmas, but it was soon after the new year!
