The Finished Window and Frame
The finished window and frame, this picture also highlights how the Bowman Kemp egress window system will look from the inside of the basement.
The Finished Window and Frame
The finished window and frame. The homeowners wanted to hold on any further renovations to the basement at this time, so Total Basement Finishing of WNY installed a piece of our paintable panels over the wooden frame by the Bowman Kemp Egress window so the homeowners could paint it as they wished for the interim before finishing the rest of their basement.

This photo shows the process when it is nearly finished, there only needs an addition of a spackling compound (often called "mud") to join our paintable panel and the home owner's previous work together into a seamless wall that they can paint over.

Fixing The Frame Around The Window
After the Bowman Kemp egress window was installed, there was a gap left between the new window and the old finishing with drywall that the homeowners already had in the basement. We sent out a crew to fix a frame around the window, and build it out to match the drywall so a piece of our paintable panels could be installed to match the existing finishing work. In this picture, the frame for the wall has been built out and you can see how it will help the panels match up. There is quite a gap between the original concrete wall with the egress window in it and the original basement finishing. When the work is done this will look seamless.

Our paintable panels are not often used as our EverLast Wall Systems are an easy-to-clean option that most homeowners go with. Here though it is useful so the room will have a cohesive look until the homeowners refinish their basement.
